I obtained my BSc in Pure Mathematics at Imperial College. In 1999, I joined Computer Artworks where I led the game-programming team on the international best-selling video game, The Thing. After a brief interlude selling my soul in financial software development, I returned to video games and spent ten years at Sony’s London game development studio. There I ran an R&D group developing technology for camera-based games on PlayStation 3 such as EyeToy, EyePet and the Wonderbook series.
I am now a Senior Teaching Associate in the Cambridge University Engineering Department. I am developing video games to inspire more teenagers to study engineering and am having a great time.
I have run Code Clubs at my local primary school and am vice chair of governors at my local secondary school. I like playing the guitar and occasionally perform 3rd rate magic shows at kids parties.
